The Road to SuperBowl XLIV: The Official 2010 NFL Playoffs Thread

It's all over for the Bengals this year.
They didn't play at ALL like they did against the Steelers this year.
They played D* like the Steeler's and Raven put together in thier games with one another this year.

Philly, how did they ever get into the playoffs ?

They have absolutely NO Offense and the D* is tired of being on the field .....

McNabb has 2 completions all day.

They better hope they figure something out at halftime.

Cowboys look MUCH better and faster tonight.

Cowboys closed the roof to make the stadium hot

Well it WAS only 37* out at the start of the game.
Currently 29*

Then again, this IS Football.

Why do the Cowboys have a DOMED stadium anyways living in the south.

Can't wait till they go to MINNESOTA next week, hope THEY open thier DOME.
Here I thought it would be a big boost for the Vikings, but they play indoors too, wish they would outlaw domes for football games or at least make it so the dome has to be open.

Dallas is notorious for it's crappy winter weather. The rain is non-stop for days and they have ice storms there at times that shut the place down. I remember one year (1987 I think) where sleet fell for a day and a half then melted and refroze to form 2 inches of ice in the streets. Texans on ice - a scary thing! :D

It's been freezing here all week. Having a roof is worthwhile this time of year. What I don't understand is that the Cowboys only had the roof open 3 times this year, and many of the games when the roof was closed the weather was fine outside.

The Cowboys are on a roll. This is why playoffs are so great. Teams like the Jets and Cowboys would be stuck in worthless bowl games if this were like college football.

So far the teams that won last Sun won their playoff rematches. If I were Kurt Warner and the Cardinals I don't think I'd be sleeping easy tonight.

For the first time since I was in elementary school, the Dallas Cowboys have won a playoff game.

Now that they have removed that proverbial monkey off their collective backs, the Cowboys are for real!

It was the Cowboys first postseason win since Dec. 28, 1996..............a 40-15 Wildcard victory over the Vikings.

To put that in perspective, the Patriots have won 17 postseason games since then, with three different head coaches.

IF the Ravens win in Foxboro today:

* it will be their first EVER win over the Patriots (0-5)

* it will be the Pats first home loss this season (8-0)

* it will be the Pats first home playoff loss in the Belichick/Brady era (8-0)

* it will snap the Pats 11 game playoff home winning streak (dating back to 1978)

* it will snap Brady's 22 game home winning streak (regular season/playoffs combined)

As a Pats fan, WHY do these numbers scare me???
