I don't know if I was the only one from here that went to it, but it was fun.
This was my first cable show and I enjoyed it. There was things to get, people to see, and parties to attend. I drove into Atlanta and I'm glad I did, I had a trunk full of stuff when I left (shirts, pens, etc.) I thought Gospel Music Channel had the best booth and shows a lot of promise in the contempory gospel music seen. GMC would be a very nice addition. Spice, Hustler and Playboy was there. Damn nice is an understatement. (something to note: Gospel Music Channel and Hustler had booths beside each other. Interesting indeed, saints and sinners together. There was as many in line for porn star autographs as there was to watch gospel singers.) The Outdoor Channel had a safari to walk through. ESPN/Disney, for as big of a set up, they was the biggest disappointment. For a cable service that charges so much, you would figure it would be the best one there. Bottom line it was neat. Games delivered and played via broadband, new WI FI technology for cable, etc. I came home with pictures of the Penthouse and Spice actressess signed.
I felt like a kid in a candy store to begin with, then meeting these ladies where like the owner of the candy store saying, "It's on the house." I didn't go in on the conferences but I did post some topics discussed in Atlanta, which are located in the Cable Industry News. I came in for the last day of the show and went over to the Tabernacle for the Motorola party, if I had been there the day before, I could have seen the Playboy party (DAMNIT). Anyhow, I thought I would share a little bit of what happened, I apoligize, I'm not much for words.
