The CW has finalized its spring scheduling plans, announcing on Thursday premiere dates for new limited series “Containment” and the return of “Reign.”Containment,”about a vast urban quarantine that takes place following a mysterious and deadly epidemic that breaks out in Atlanta, gets the best timeslot on the network, Tuesdays behind top-rated “The Flash.” The new 13-episode series, which could return for future seasons if successful, will bow April 19 at 9 p.m., one week after current Tuesday-at-9 series “iZombie” wraps its season with a pair of episodes.“Containment” is based on the original Belgian series “Cordon,” created by Carl Joos for Eyeworks. It is produced by My So-Called Company in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Julie Plec (“The Vampire Diaries,” “The Originals”), Matt Corman (“Covert Affairs”) and Chris Ord (“Covert Affairs”).In other CW schedule notes, “Reign” returns for the remainder of its third season on Monday, April 25. The drama, which had been airing on Fridays this season, will be paired with “Jane the Virgin.” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” currently airing Mondays at 8, will wrap its first season on April 18.And “Beauty and the Beast” kicks off its fourth and final season on Thursday, June 2 at 9.
