Take a look at this and tell me what you suggest please. Will the 4228 work or will I need 2 of them. One pointing to the N and the other to the S? I have a Radio Shack antenna with the UHF loop sitting on top of my TV and can get 3-1, 6-1, and 7-1. That is my NBC, CBS, and ABC networks. I want to get Fox which is at 18-1 I believe. Will the Zenith Silver Senor work with these distances?

Eith the 4221 you can remove the screen and get reception form the rear. Can you realistically do the same with the 4228?

7.1 might be our only problem with a UHF antenna because it is on VHF channel 11. You would surely get FOX with a 4228. You are so close to the first 3 you can get them on a paperclip. Another possible problem might be multipath on the close stations, but you can work with that after the antenna is up.

Consider a Radio Shack U-75R. Only $30 and you can return it if it isn't satisfactory. I'd try that first. Point it NW and see what you get.

That is the ideal thing for you to do, as you will be able to pick up the close ones on the backside of the antenna. I am doing the same thing with channels that are as far away as your distant ones with a bit stronger antenna.

Go for it, you will be glad you went to the extra work, it will pay off!

Thanks guys. I'll give it a try. You think I can put it in the attic and it will still get those ones that are 20 miles off? I guess I will try that 1st to see what happens.

As long as you go to the attic with a compass and orient it correctly, unless there is something between you and the antenna farm, say a skyscraper or two, no problem at that distance. The closer ones will come in no problem, as they would do fine with rabbit ears. :)

Let us know how it goes and Good Luck!
