Anyone ever you regular old RG6 cable (the kind that cable companies run into your home) for a subwoofer? I'm putting my new sub across the room from my receiver and I need to get a cable run behind the run somehow. My only options are to go through the attic or under the floor in the crawl space. I read somewhere that any RG6 cable would do. Has anyone ever tried using that? If it would work, I could run the RG6 and terminate the ends with F connectors. And then I can use some F connector to RCA connector adapters that I found at Radio Shack. Any ideas?

I'm assuming that this is a powered sub.

My guess is that you'll never hear the difference (it isn't going to materially impact the frequency response of a subwoofer) if you use RG6 cable.

I also use RG6, they make little converter plugs for RG6 with F connectors to RCA plugs if you look around. I think monoprice has them for wall jack installations.

Harmony 520 or 720?

I'm getting excited........
