While it hasn't yet made much of a splash, it appears that the FCC has finally given up CableCARD as a failed experiment.

This perhaps doesn't bode well for TiVotees and fans of the HDHomerun Prime as the FCC mandate played a big part in what little effort there was to support CableCARD.

Some of the impetus for this likely comes from a court case that Echostar won in 2013 to thwart the adoption of CableCARD for satellite carriers.

Have any cable operators stopped supporting cable cards or announced plans to stop?

My Cable/ISP has gone strongly to Roku/Fire devices. If I'm correct your "DVR" is now all on the cloud.
It takes a ton of equipment and cable signal issues out of the loop. Negotiations are on with the REC which just completed installation of fiber to your home to keep them from having to service the old hard line cable infrastructure.
