Stargate Universe

Remember that LiS and ST-TOS were originally competitors. The story is that CBS passed on Trek (The Cage -1964 pilot) to pick up LiS instead because Trek was too cerebral. :)

Winner? Star Trek had several spin-off series and 11 movies (I think it will be 11 now). Lost in Space had one movie and thats it.

I take that back. Just looked it up and didnt know there was a Lost in Space pilot movie in 2003... and that the sets were picked up afterwards for BSG.

SCI FI eyeing October 2 for Universe premiere?

by Darren Sumner
If you are writing this down in your day planner, be sure to use pencil. The SCI FI Channel may be looking at Friday, October 2 as the premiere date for Stargate Universe in the United States.
Sanctuary actress and executive producer Amanda Tapping told Pop Culture Zoo this week that the network wants to pair the second season of that show with Universe on Friday nights. “SCI FI wants us to air October 9th,” she told the site. “We will run concurrently with Stargate Universe. I think they premiere with a two-hour episode and then the following week we will run together.”

They're going to hold Sanctuary's second season until October??? No one will remember it (especially since there were only 5 or 6 really decent episodes). They'll have to re-air all 13 episodes to get people back into it again if they wait until October...

Who does their program planning at that channel? They really don't plan terribly well...

I don't even know what to say after watching that; it sure as hell doesn't look like Stargate in any way shape or form.

I got the same frustrated feeling watching that preview that the new so-called Trek re-boot gave me.

And is it me, or has Jack gotten a bit fat in his old age? His face sure looked bloated.
