Stargate SG-1 Discussion

A serpent guard, a horse guard, and a setesh guard meet on a neutral planet.... it is a tense moment, the serpent guard's eyes glow, the horse guards beak glistens, the setesh guard's nose drips...." Mwahahahaha :)

Jaffa-jokes. :D

I have no idea why we can watch these repeatedly and not get tired of them. This is my sons first time through though. I finally convinced him he would enjoy them (which he is) but I have to watch with him. However, I can not quote dialog :) Only a few things pop in my head as I am watching them again with Trevor.

Good television, like good movies, really never get old and bear up quite well under repeated viewings. You get to the point where the characters (through their acting and the writing) feel like friends and you come to care about them. That's why we can rewatch SG-1 or SGA and not get tired of it. As for remembering dialog, some people are better at it than others. My cousin and I, many years ago, used to play the "name that movie" game and quote a line of dialog from a movie, with tone inflection similar to the way it was delivered in the movie. We'd get 5 guesses. It was a fun game. :)

Indeed. :)

I don't remember a lot of SG-1 dialogue. I paused Netflix and rewound it to write down the jaffa joke. :D.

One of my favorite lines, which relates to my avatar, is "Not in the middle of my backswing!" :D

O'niell had a ton of great, very memorable, lines that just made the character (and the lines) so instrumental to the series.
