It gave me a needed classic SG1 fix...

The full frontal is gone, you see the back only of the Women...

I can't remember how many times Showtime did that with the new Outer Limits...but then it's a whole different game on the premium channels... With SG1, they didn't do that anymore after the first episode...

92 Minutes for the new, 92 for the old I believe...

Excellent. Nick can see that. The full frontal was never needed imho. I'll pick up the DVD when I am out today. Probably rip it to my laptop and watch on my next trip this week.

I watched parts of the original last night in the BT... I think the different opening set's a little different tone and it has credits like a movie so that would take up some of the difference in time...

I would imagine they could up the bitrate on the new version due to not including the other 2 episodes, so they wouldn't need to compress it much. Wish they'd done a BD version...

I bought the DVD today and am watching it now.

I think the PQ is on par with Season 9 and 10, very very good for DVD. (I am watching on 40" sony XBR, using the cheap magnavox BD player for the upconvert).

I am really enjoying watching this. Of course, it began with a preview for SGU, but I'm not going to start that debate all over.

Definitely. It was only $20 at BB. Well worth it. (I just finished watching).

Yes, the same, but different. Although after watching so much SG1 lately, it felt the way it should look. Much better PQ, much better special effects. And a few scenes that just come off better.

Wish I got it for $15, but it was still worth the extra $5.
