I've got a T90 with an LNB aimed at Anik F1 to pick up the occasional CBC feed. I understand though that there are a few kids channels that I could get also if I had a previously subscribed SC box. Since I have a few of these I thought it might be worth trying out.

As I already have a couple of receivers hooked up to this particular LNB, would the SC box work through either a diseqc switch, multi-receiver switch, or both?

I assume you have a dual LNB?

If so, all you need is a 2x4 or 3x4 multiswitch. Run both lines from the LNB into the multiswitch and you can hook up to 4 receivers to it :)

Are you referring to a regular single-sat DirecTV-type multiswitch?

And what if I added a second dual LNB for Anik F2 in addition to the dual LNB for Anik F1R, could I use a multi-sat DirecTV multiswitch (type that has 4 inputs) to get both SC sats on a SC STB? I think it should generate the necessary 22kHz for the STB to select F2, correct?

yeppers :)

yes. You could use a 4x4 multiswitch. Hook both cables from F1 into the 0k side and both cables from F2 into the 22k side. Then the SC box would be able to switch between the two

Just remember to use standard, rather than universal, LNBFs. The universals won't work with a 4 x 4 multiswitch, since they use the 22k option to switch between low and high bands.
