Hum...HDNET usually does everything in OAR. I wonder why the the ruined this?

From someone who saw it in HD/OAR during its first run I am seriously disapointed. I dont like to be stolen from...and this is just plain robery.

Shame on you HDNET!!

Guess I'll take it as is, since it beats the SD crap I watched the entire 4-year run in...

It was 16:9 but shown in 1:85 (i.e no letter box) When it first aired it was I believe 2:35 (i.e letter box).

So they cut off part of the picture to show it the way they did.

I didn't get UPN-HD but the framing looks the same to me as the letterboxed SD version did.

I guess different local stations had varying OTA quality during the initial run. The PQ in Seattle improved towards the end but the first few years left room for improvement. This is the best PQ I've seen for this series.

I watched the first episode on HDnet and was quite disappointed about the HD quality of the program. I guess no fault of HD (although at HD Lite mode) but this program either was not shot in a very great HD camera atmosphere or the HD transfer was not that great either. Comparing this to Lucas' film that was shot in HD and others is like night and day. I will still watch but I know what to expect now.

Yeah, I saw the first/pilot episode for Enterprise recently and I found that i liked it. I'd like to be able to see them from the beginning though instead of jumping in the middle of them and such..

You've only missed about five or six episodes. Maybe download them from the internet. You can easily catch up.

A good line from last night's episode:

Dr. Phlox, talking to his journal:

"I think Crewman Cutler may be romantically interested in me. I can’t be certain, however, the female pheromones of human females are not as potent as Denobulians.”

If it was as easy as detecting female pheromones! :D
