Star Trek Enterprise

This show is great but now with HD Lite it should look better than what my UPN HD used to do (total crap) but not better than what HDnet used to do (Remember the good old days of 1920x1080i) .

I am guessing that HdNet will be updating their schedule, since it does not show on the HDTV Magazine schedule for 9/18; and they will need to shift some stuff around. They have about 4 weeks of Joan of Arcadia episodes left before the end of the series run.

I was half expecting it to be on Wednesdays, to replace Odyssey 5, which has its 20 episode run end tonight.

Ah who cares... Star Trek in HD!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!

Broken Bow Part 1 : 9pm Edt Replay at 12am Edt

I was surprised they didn't show the full two hour episode to kick it off on HdNet!

I can't wait.

And Don - you should change your avatar to a trek one to honor the day! :D

For those of you who didnt get to see this show first run in HD you are are in for a wonderful experience. Even if it is HD-lite The show was filmed and mastered in HD so all the shots are breath-taking.

Okay I will be the first to say it....Why isnt it OAR?!?!

I am glad it is not OAR personally. And I would not have expected it on HDNET.

What gets me is that the HD transfer does not appear to be as good as I expected, AND the audio track seems to be off a bit (particularly in the scene where Hoshi is trying to translate what the Klingon is saying).

Watching the fan stuff afterwards; the fans dressed in uniforms is a bit much; makes us trekers look a bit nutty. Brings me back some years, that's for sure!!!!

Oh well.. they are committed, that is for sure! :)

And Scott Bakula needs a haircut!! :D

I thought it was terrific!

I enjoyed this first episode very much in High Definition. I agree that the lip synch was ever so slightly off at times. But from the perspective of having watched the original series during the 1960's, this was technically exquisite to me. My 50 inch plasma feels almost like being in a theater with this. Looking forward to the ongoing episodes. I suspect I will fill up my DISH ViP622 with these recordings. :hatsoff:

I just checked a Replayed Version from D* HD the audio was out of synch also... so it was an HDNet thing...

I am not surprised. They have been screwing up audio on Joan of Arcardia a lot too. Not out of sync, but spitting in and out for a minute, and then all is fine. Did it for the past six or eight episodes.

Hum...HDNET usually does everything in OAR. I wonder why the the ruined this?

From someone who saw it in HD/OAR during its first run I am seriously disapointed. I dont like to be stolen from...and this is just plain robery.

Shame on you HDNET!!
