DISH Announces First Retailer Terminations of 2009

DISH Network on Tuesday announced that it had terminated its partnership agreements with nine U.S. retailers for engaging in fraud and misrepresentation when establishing new customer accounts for the DBS service.
The retailers involved this time around included Aloha Communications of Provo, Utah; Prance Communications of Alhambra, Calif.; Sam’s Satellite & Service of Redding, Calif.; Satview L.L.C. of Reno, Nev.; Carlos Simpson (dba Digitall) of Beaumont, Calif.; Imran Shaikh (dba Affordable Satellite II) of Houston, Texas; Air Satellite Dish. of Orlando, Fla.; Sunshine Dish. of Orlando, Fla. and Rahan Kahn Affordable Satellite of Humble, Texas.
The DBS provider didn't release any specific details about the conditions surrounding the terminations but did say that "DISH Network L.L.C. does not tolerate illegal activity and will take action against any retailer that it believes has engaged in any form of fraud or misrepresentation in its dealings with DISH Network L.L.C."
