I have a Geo micro HD with signal strength of 78 and Quality of from 58 to 62. I get a good picture but the sound on most channels is static. What is the signal needed for good sound? I am on 97 in Elkview, West Virginia.

If you have static in your sound on different channels, I would check other things.

Agree. Check sound settings in receiver, tv or amp (if using one). Possibly changed by accident?

After your suggestions I unplugged my Appletv, hopper and blu-ray players. Still messed up. I changed to another hdmi input on the tv, that didn't work. Tried different hdmi cable still nogo. I decided to unplug hdmi from receiver and use the cables, bingo the hdmi is bad on the receiver. Thank for the help, I have hearing disability and any audio problem is big for me. Since they sent the cables is there usually a problem with the hdmi?
