Signal on Dish vs. Direct Tv

I've tried to install Direct Tv on two occasions, but view facing Southwest from my house in Brooklyn,Ny is blocked by trees. Does Dish also face Southwest and will have same result or is it worth giving it a try ?

DIRECTV main satellite is at 101, Dish uses 119 for up to AT120 and 110 for the rest (HD/AT180). It is possible that 18 degrees further west may not be blocked, but is impossible to tell really without trying.
