Signal Loss

I never had a visible loss of signal since I have Dish. My question is, if for some reason, on some TP's, on some channels there's a signal loss, and I am not watching that particular channel, will the receiver just black out on all channels, or will it continue to show what I am watching right now and I'll never know which ones were lost? I mean when there's a signal loss on 119 for example and I am wtching a show on 110, will the receiver quit showing anything?

Short answer: No. Just like your radio in the car, you will never know that there is a problem with a particular channel/station until you try to receive that signal.

So in bad weather I theoretically lose the HD content from 129, while watching content coming from 119 for example and I wouldn't get a prompt?

correct that's what i found out today, we had a bad rain storm and 129 was having issues, but as soon as i switched to a channel on 110 all was fine. That's why i think i am unware of how bad 129 really is, as i dont have voom any more nor hd locals yet.
