This week I had to move my feed for 110 from a 48" dish to a 1 meter to free up the 48" for use on Shaw Direct. I am using a 6' Andersen on 119 and after reading threads here about the good signals on 110, decided to use my smallest dish for 110.

I have not messed with my dish stuff lately, and noticed the message on my screen that the signal meter has been changed, with lower numbers. I thought it would be good to see what other viewers are seeing now around Fairbanks or. What is the minimum signal necessary with the "new" readings? I've seen some references to levels in the high 20's being subject to rain (snow) fade.

On 110 with the 48" and 1 Meter it looks like this:

TP 48" 1 Meter
1 70 64
2 72 59
3 71 64
4 78 70
5 70 65
6 70 62
8 76 68
9 70 62
10 68 60
11 69 59
13 71 61
14 68 59
15 71 63
16 73 63
17 64 58
19 60 53
21 76 68
22 68 59
24 75 67
26 103 100
29 67 64
31 82 78

Signals on 119, with the 6' Andersen run from 43 on TP 10, to 82 on TP 9. As a test, I compared levels on 119 betwen the 6' and 1 meter, since the 1 Meter was already on 119 when I started, but not in use.

TP 6' 1 Meter
2 63 48
4 60 46
6 61 46
8 57 46
9 82 77
10 43 32
11 61 43
12 60 45
13 66 47
14 58 40
15 64 45
16 61 43
17 63 44
18 57 38
19 64 45
20 59 39
21 66 46

Today I'm going to tune in the 48" on Anik F1 while I wait for the new receiver to arrive. Dishes were "rough tuned" and there may be a little strength left to recover-need to bring a Specan home from work. How does this look Fairbanks dishies?
