Not nessasarily, he cleared waivers as expected, now the Tigers are FREE to trade him to anyone that would be interested in him.
A lot of teams may not have put in a waiver bid because of his contract, now that can start from scratch.
Not sure if the old contract is still owed to him or not after waivers.

I am afraid Jimbo that 14 million is his, contracts in baseball are not like those in football.....So I think that why no team will touch him, unless the tiger's pony up on that contract (paying a portion) WHAT A MESS
