Hello Raoul: I don't remember the numbers for 99c but, for 103's there is one that I cant get any signal at all, but I can watch most of the hd channels including locals , I know that phase 3 is for sd , but it work good if you don't want to carry around those giants slimline dish
My next project is to try a sl5 non-swm on my phase 3 dish to get at least the 119 to watch my favorite sports channels, probably I will fail on this, and I will need a bigger antenna
Any suggestion will be appreciated, thanks
There are lots of posts about using Slimline LNBs on the Phase III dish, both here and at dbstalk. Try http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads...Campers-and-Tailgaters?highlight=swm+on+phase, or search this forum for SL3 on phase 3 dish.
The SL5 will work just the same as the SL3. Unless you are looking for a hispanic channel 119 won't help you.
As chip (raoul) posted, the 99s and 103s satellites only carry local spotbeams, so low or even zero signals on many transponders are OK. Your signal levels on 101, 99c, 103ca and 103cb are pretty typical of people trying to use the slimline LNB/Phase III combination. The 103 signals are just above the levels you need for reception, but just above is good enough. I haven't seen anyone report on 119, but I suspect the signals will be very poor.
