Here we go again. Who gives a rats arse who has what. If anyone feels they need a channel that another provider has its really simple to switch provider. It makes no difference what anyone here or any other forum says about D* or E* or cable. We can pick and choose who we want to buy our programming from. Arguing about it is stupid and as wtb955 said so simply and eloquently, grow up.
I think the whole point of this thread is to see if we can find out any info on when SciFi HD will be up and running on Dish. It doesnt matter how many hours of this and that and you guys have gotten this thread seriously off topic. All most of us want to know is WHEN WILL DISH CARRY SCIFI HD???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Direct and Comcast have signed contracts with them and Dish is still negociating. *confirmed*

Since that's what the providers are giving D*, what makes you think it would be different on E*?This quote from Scott gave me the Idea to label the new D Channels on HD.... SD Plus??
It would look the same, but it just shows what picture quality could be if they would crank up the bit rates on all the channels. SD could look good, with HD looking Great !

I agree with you,That's is why I would prefer the channel come with a real HD format and real HD content, I don't want a unconverted ch just to get teased, I don't like to be teased .
