I think the issue is that one party will have free booze while the other will not. I'm assuming you can't have alcohol at your party since it's being held on public property?

We can have beer and wine coolers just not the hard stuff.

Yes my family had a very good time as well. And the food was great. Any BBQ that has a bucket of cooked bacon is already head and shoulders above others.
