Are there any problems putting my dish inside my apartment behind a window.
Will that attenuate the signal a lot?

I don't want to use Charter Comm.

Thanks

sat thru window

I have had the same question as i have charter and i wash my sat tv back. i missmn sports and i can't wait for opening football on 9/10/06

I am not a tech and I can not speak about Dish network, but I think that it depends on your windows. I had my Sirius antenna inside my house pointing through one of my windows and I had no problems with reception. I replaced the window with one of those super R value double pane energy efficient windows with argon gas between - no more signal - absolutely none.

windows

i live in a apt with sliding widnows with screens on them. Does this help. I'd like hope it would work so i can watch dish again.

:) your far enough south that the look angel might be too high. try right next to the window and below it picture the signal coming from about a 45deg angel of the reflector. i have seen other threads about this do a search for them. i have seen suction cup mounts and window frame mounts. I'll check for a link.

Will a bigger dish boost my Spotbeam signal?
