The following information is way over due...only because exhaustion outweighed the need to deliver information. While knowing it’s too much to ask for, we still hope these figures will put the speculation and rumors to rest.

Attendance: The total number of attendees at Satellite Expo 2005 was 1568. This is NOT including exhibitors. This is the final count of people wearing “attendee” badges that passed through registration. While lower than anticipated we are still very pleased with the turn out. When you consider a year ago no one knew there would be a Satellite Expo 2005 these are impressive numbers.

Exhibitors: 104 exhibitors greeted Attendees at Satellite Expo 2005. The best part about this number is the fact not one exhibitor on the show floor failed to bring something useful to the Expo. There was no “wasted” booth space; there was something to be learned at each and every booth. Exhibitors hailed from almost every state in the Union as well as Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Korea, China and Japan.

Exhibit Space: Satellite Expo 2005 filled a total of 65,426 square feet of space at the Agricenter International. Again, every square foot was filled with products and information that was beneficial to everyone in attendance.

In our opinion Satellite Expo 2005 was a HUGE success. We fully expect to host a minimum of 90% of this years exhibitors at Satellite Expo 2006. A large number of exhibitors have already chosen the location of their exhibit space for next year, sponsorships of various functions are already being arranged and we have a list of over 30 exhibitors that did not make it into this years show waiting on this years exhibitors to pick their spaces so they can contract their space for the 2006 show.

The post-expo meeting produced many things we intend to change for the 2006 show that will make for a much better show next year. For those of you not clear on the location of next years show, it will be held at the new Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta, GA. The GICC ( www.gicc.com ) has been rated as the most technologically advanced convention center in the United States. We feel very fortunate to have been able to work closely with the Atlanta Convention and Visitor Bureau to work out the details to bring Satellite Expo 2006 to Georgia. We are adding two additional days to next years show. April 18 & 19 will be training only days and the exhibit floor will be open on Thursday, Friday & Saturday (20-22). We will be posting additional information about the 2006 show very soon as there has been no dead time between the closing of Satellite Expo 2005 and the beginning of preparations for Satellite Expo 2006, the plans for next year are already in full swing.

Thank you to each and everyone that attended this year’s expo, your support for this show has not gone unnoticed. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to you for supporting something that started as a passing thought and ended up being a dream come true for a great number of people.
