San Francisco locals

I know the big 4 locals from San Francisco are offered by an "independent" company ConUS if you get waivers, but if I "move" to an address that gets SF locals will I get them? I am not in the SF spotbeam...

Unless you are in the spotbeam you will not get them. You can use NPS (allamerican direct) to recv the SF big 4 locals if you "move" to an area that is elgible. You can search the forums for info on how to "move". You can tune into E* ch 240 for info about NPS.

short answer...no

long answer....there are 2 sets of SF locals up on 110/119. The SF locals that Dish carries are on 110 (all the local channels from that market) are only available if you are in that spotbeam. The NPS ones (the ones on 119 CONUS) you need to have an address that qualifies for those.

That's what I figured. Is there a list anywhere of markets that are still ConUS? I'm only talking SD...

If the transponder number has an "S" they are on a spot beam. If it doesn't, it is technically available anywhere than satellite can be received.

Also, NPS cannot sell SF stations to anyone living in the SF DMA, so never use a SF address. Same situation applies in the Atlanta DMA with the Atlanta stations.
