Did DISH recently move the 4 Russian channels (RTVI, RTVI+, TVCI, & Kino) off the 61.5 dish? The people on the telephone tell me they have been moved to 118. Can anyone confirm this? I want to subscribe but now I may need another dish installed if this is true.

Yes they did, we are currently doing upgrades for people who have russian programming. If you currently have 1 or 2 dishes, they will remove them and put up one larger dish, called a 500+, or a 1000+ if you have HD programming. That dish is capable of receiving any programming you subscribe to.

According to The List, they remain on 61.5. I don't know when they will finally recapture that bandwidth.

From other thread you can find a photocopy of Dish postcard where they asking to call and replace 61.5 or 148 dish for those who have international packages.
That means Dish productively installing for free D500+ or D1000+ for future move those international channels to 118.75W.

They are still on 61.5 (and 118). I would go ahead and subscribe. When Dish decides you need the new dish, let them do the upgrade.

It may be too late for that. I believe Dish requires any NEW international subs OR new additional international channels to be added to the subs account to look at 118.7, at the subs cost. This has been the case for a while. There are other posts where people who are current Dish subs trying to add subscription to internationals for the first time, and although the channels are still at 148 and 61.5, Dish will not activate those channels unless the NEW Intl sub is looking at 118.7. And that is usually at the cost of the subscriber. However, any current intl sub will be migrated for absolutely FREE. Dish does not want to turn on a channel for someone looking at the wings, then a few weeks or months later have to pay for subs migration. It may not be a steal for the new intl. sub, but it is a fair business practice. Of course, there are freebies for any NEW, first-time DISH subscribers to look at 118.7.

Why only 1 Showtime in HD

replacing 522 with 222k, just a few questions
