Revolution

I think most people here respect a roughly 24-hour rule about discussing the show (i.e. DVR users, etc) so my only comment was hearing something like "be sure to set your DVRs for the entire season of Revolution" that the NBC voice-over guy said during the end credits. I thought the networks were 100% anti-DVR !!
Not trying to give any of the plot away, just making the observation that the violence does not seem to have lessened with the time change to an earlier hour. I mean, this IS NOT a children's show or a family viewing show. I think that they'll receive ALOT of complaints over the violence at the 8pm hour.

Do they? I've seen people complain about "spoilers" after the show has aired, and most (including mods) have said that once the show airs, it's full season on talking about the episode. If you don't want to hear about it, stay our of the thread until you've watched it.

Someone mentioned using this courtesy in either this thread or The Walking Dead thread in the past. I really don't care if people do it or not..... As long_time_DNC said, I avoid threads until I've watched the show so it doesn't affect me. Last night, around 8:45, our daughter sat on the couch and prodded us to start watching ! So I'm up to speed on the show.... ;-)

Hadn't really missed it during the hiatus, but I gotta say, after watching the season premiere I am glad it's back on.Thought it did a great job of tying into the finale.I was surprised at how violent it is being on at 8pm.

? That's what I was saying earlier. Maybe NBC is waiting for Law & Order SVU to go off the air so they can move it in thier time slot. It's too violent for 8pm.

Thats what I do, try to stay out of the thread till after I have watched it.

I can see this moving to the NBC Cable network after this year if it makes it that long and stays at that time slot ...

Then again, Kids aern't like they use to be when we we young ..

Kid play games with more violence and blood in it than you'll see here.

Rush and Deep Purple (unplugged) both in the same episode! Definitely a great way to kick-off the season! :)

I'm surprised at the level of violence too at that hour (and not all kids play hyper-violent video games)...it wouldn't surprise me if NBC moves it to a later (10pm) slot eventually, if they want to keep the blood, violence and other adult content elements in the show...

So, now we have the inability to die permanently? This season's going to be *really* interesting! ;)

Unplugged with a bluegrass flare!Thought it was awesome.I meant to see who played those.Kind of reminds me of Hayseed Dixie.

Really liked both bluegrass renditions of those two songs too. Wasn't expecting a Rush song, so it hooked me immediately and caught myself grinning at my tv thinking, "wow, how cool!". ;)

No it wasn't explained,I guess we will figure it out as the season progresses.

I would have been pissed had Aaron died in the first episode.

So the power was on only long enough to launch the missiles ?

A bit longer, but not much. Rachel said shutting off the power would kill the middle guidance systems and that obviously didn't happen. Now, where would the missiles have went ? Also, would they detonate ? I thought they are triggered at an altitude setting.
