replacing 522 with 222k, just a few questions

I was wanting to replace my 522 and 322 with a couple 222k's or 222's. I already have a 722 with the EHD activated.
1. will my ehd's or new ones work on them without paying a new activation fee ?
2. will they have the same dvr functions with a ehd connected such as setting timers for recording ?
I was wanting to get the latest info after the most recent updates from those of you who have them now. Are they working right? One of them will replace my wife's 522 and I want to make sure they are working good before I replace it, if she misses one of her "shows" I will never be forgiven thanks for any help

Remember the 222k is NOT a DVR. Wait for the 722k which will be available in a few weeks.

The 222 does not yet have the EHD option and it is not know if it will, but if it does and it is like the EHD on the 211, it will not be interchangable with the 622/722/722k EHD.
