Remote Power on and select button

When I attempt to power on my 622 with the remote using the power button the 622 attempts to re-initialize the satellite connections. If I stop and power off and use the select button all works well. Is there a change in the way one turns on the 622 now with the L4.47 download. Should we be using the select button always?

I have L447 and still turn my 622 on using the power button on the remote.

Maybe yours is attempting to find all of the satellites and download the latest programming.

With the receiver turned off, unplug the receiver and the DPP44 Power Inserter if using one, wait a few minutes and then plug them both back in; and then turn on the ViP 622 using the remote power button. It should go to acquiring satellite signals and then probably download the latest guide info. You could hit stop or cancel, but I would let it finish; and then maybe it will solve your problem.

The power on works as always this am...maybe the issue is resolved. Thanks for your help

I don't think I have ever used the power button.
