Remote code for Sony SLV-D350P VCR

Does anyone know what VCR code the 301 uses to start recording? The codes in the 301's manual do not work

There used to be a great place to find remote codes and advanced codes, but it appears to be gone now (bummer - it was a GREAT resource as I remember!) I haven't been there in years, and my bookmark is a dead link now. The site pretty much addresses Universal and Radio Shack brand remotes. However, if you scroll down a bit on the page - to where it lists various links in the center of the page - you'll see one for "Setup Codes" and another for "Advanced Codes". These may plug right into your Sony brand remote as well. In case you haven't guessed by now, I used to be somewhat heavy into advanced programming of my universal remote. Mine does tons more stuff than the manual tells you about, once you research into advanced codes and how to use them.

I am sorry for the confusion I caused in the way I asked my question. I want the Dish 301 to initiate timer based recordings. My real question is what code do I tell the Dish 301 receiver to use to turn on my Sony SLV-D350P VCR?
