Remote Code for Sony Receiver?

Dad got a Sony STR-DE598 5.1 receiver. We tried all the Sony AUX codes in the Dish 322 User Guide, none of them will work. All we need is Vol up/dn/mute.

Anyone get thier Dish remote programmed to operate a Sony receiver AUX device? Code recommendations???

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately this Sony does not have that feature to change the "remote mode" of the receiver.

None of which work for his reciever, nor mine.

I'm going to do the remote code change thing tonight that mrhand linked to.

Also, none of the codes for the Sony DVD players work fully either, some will let you use the enter/select button, press play, stop, etc, but the direction arrows don't work, others the direction arrows work, but the enter/select button doesn't work.

I tried all the codes, and none of them let me use the arrow buttons, enter, stop, play, and pause

Doing a "scan" through all the codes yielded NO working code, and was actually faster than manually entering each of the whopping seven Sony codes. Looks like we will be shelling out more $$ for an IR URC.
