Reminder: ESPNU & ESPN Classic Package Switch Today

Reminder, ESPNU (614) moves to the Classic packages today, and ESPN Classic (208) moves to the Sports pack. The channel numbers will NOT change as of now.

I'd expect the change to happen at 6am ET, which is typically when DirecTV executes changes.


I think this is a great change, and combined with the CBS College Sports move last year to Choice Xtra, the best non-RSN channels for college games from sports pack are available to all.

Would've been nice if they would've given us ESPNU HD at the same time but no luck. We know we are eventually getting ESPNU HD but it would be nice if they give it to us before college football season instead of early next year.

I have the choice extra package and DVR service and I am getting ch 614. But also still getting ECL at this time.

I, too, have Choice Xtra and ESPN Classic is on along with ESPNU

kinda would suck to lose espnc,had it for years. got by with out the u .
but $120 a year oh well.
