I have an SE, a 3500r (Stick from 2015) and a 3600r (Stick from 2016). There are quite a few apps that allow you to authenticate with your Dish account credentials and watch their live TV feed, access On Demand content, movie archives, etc. One way to do this is to use the "search" option and type in "watch." that will bring up a lot of channels that have live feeds, like "Watch ESPN" and "Watch CNN." Then, search for keyword "GO." That will bring up additional streaming channels like Fox Sports Go. If you have HBO, you can install HBO GO and watch the full HBO movie archive.
Also, there is one "hidden" channel that is a MUST for all Roku owners: Nowhere TV. It has to be added through your Roku account via PC. That channel has many full series episodes, TV news feeds, etc. It has the entire library of Red Green shows
Also, before I digress too much, Pluto TV is a good channel also. Many live streaming channels, including one that streams Mystery Science Theater 3000 24/7.
I've been able to use Roku's in place of satellite receivers in my daughter's bedroom and my bedroom. Using Dish or Comcast credentials, I can view many of the same channels live for no additional cost (no receiver fees, etc).
