RCA 751R yagi outdoor antenna

What network is the blue stripe on? It’s that simple. Is it on ABC NBC CBS CBC PBS? If you can’t tell us the network, then we can’t help you. Your question is way to vague.

I'm betting that band doesn't show up on other televisions.

That is indeed peculiar and somewhat reminiscent of multipath in NTSC broadcasts. DTV multipath doesn't manifest like that. I'm at a loss.

Is it really that hard to climb up on the roof, Apply bishop tape, Drill 4 lag bolts, adjust the mast and install the antenna? I don’t see this install going nowhere if you can’t install the antenna on the roof.

Above the rain gutter and a little ways back over my window

Antennas typically work better when level and the elements aren't all bent out of shape. Since you're currently happy, I wouldn't worry about it unless heavy weather creates a problem.

BTW, the 751 is also sold by Walmart in a smaller box> Dont get it! Its not the same and will pull stations weaker than the original 751.

The OP got the good one in the longer box. It has a better UHF element and 1 more VHF element than the new one. Another difference is the mast attachment is at the end of the antenna, its in front of the first VHF element on the new one making it harder or impossible to aim if the mast is close against a wall.

EDIT:

I noticed Confortably Numb's antenna is the newer design from his picture on the second post
