Ramirez v Bay

That's all you could do is imagine. Manny was dogging it, and would've continued to do so. You wouldn't have seen similar numbers to what he's had in LA if he stayed with the Sox. Just more 3 pitch SO's without lifting the bat off his shoulder, and mysterious ailments that keep him out of important games.

He's Torre's problem now, thank God.

OK...you hate hime...and I am gonna give you the "dogging it"....but you are ASSUMING he was gonna have "just more 3 pitch SOs without lifting the bat off his shoulder".....

Most teams in the league would kill to have that "problem". All Boston had to do was negotiate a new contract. The morons.

Morons?? The Sox originally offered Manny a 7 year contract, but Manny wanted 8. The Sox agreed to the 8th year with the stipulation that the team would hold two 1 year options at $20 M per. He could have been free & clear after 7 but got greedy and wanted the eighth.

Who's the moron now??

Exactly!!! But don't let a stupid thing like FACTS get in the way of your opinion.

Bay is fading, but Manny, through 9-1/3 games now projects to .474, with 226 RBI and 156 runs scored.

Jay Bay now hitting .358, 3 HR, 16 RBI , +1 less migraine in 16 games for the Sox.

And Manny is hitting .424 6 HR 21 RBIs and the Dodgers went from 3 games down and 4 games UNDER .500, to tied for 1st and 4 games OVER and even cut some of his locks.

...And yet the Red Sox cannot make A DENT into the Rays lead with their 2 BEST PLAYERS GONE for the season....

Ever think that has something to do with the Rays staying hot, despite the fact they're playing without said players? How can the Red Sox control THAT without playing them?

.......And yet the Red Sox are 11-5 since Me-Me's ass was kicked to the curb, while they were 1-5 in his last six games with the Sox. Coincidence? I think not.

Last I checked....you can STILL make ground WITHOUT playing the team infront of you.

You stated that they could not catch up without playing them.

No, I said that despite the Red Sox going 11-5 since The Trade, they haven't gained any ground because the Rays have remained hot. That's not the Red Sox fault if they haven't played them.
