I have a question on setting up a new 622 and a new 1000 Plus dish. If I only planned on having the one 622, do you need the DPP44 switch as well? Or would you only need to add that on if you started adding more receivers?
No, you would not need the DPP44 switch. If it is a DishProPlus head, you would need the switch till you added 3 or more receivers.
Sorry if I was wrong, I thought the main lnb had inputs for the balance of the lnb's with switch built in.
On a Dish 1000 and 1000.2 the lnb has the switch and inputs so that no other switch is needed.... on the 1000+ you need the switch....
Thanks for the clarifaction. I keep getting this confused. Dish 1000, 1000+ or 1000.2 do not work in my area.
Thanks for all of the information guys! So am I right in thinking that if I only want one dish, then it has to be the 1000+ to get the HD stuff, otherwise i would have to get a 1000 or a 1000.2, plus a Dish 500 to get everything. But you are saying if I went the 2 dish route it would not need a switch?
