Pryor leaving OSU

What did you think would happen ... OSU says, Oh, we want you back ?

Pryor's original suspension was for 5 games.
Pryor chose not to return.
Pryor would not be available for any supplemental draft with remaining eligibility.
Pryor convinces OSU to declare him ineligible for the 2011 season, on July 26!!

How convenient!!

AND Ohio State getting off with a mere slap in the hand...PRICELESS...

Pretty much just like what they did with Tressell. Letting both of them off with no punishment.

The only saving grace would be if the NFL decides there is no supplemental draft due to the screwed up timelines this year.

Make Pryor wait a year....

So you wanna put the hurt to Pryor? Great.

What about all those other players that will be affected? You happy to hurt them, too?

Apparently you don't care as long as Pryor gets his.

To me, EVERYONE has some fault in the entire process. He was a diva when he came into OSU, Tressell's history of not reporting issues and as usual in all this, boosters wanting "to help the university".

Pryor broke rules. Why should he be rewarded retroactively with NFL eligibility this year??

As far as others being affected, in 34 years only 40 players were selected in this draft so we're not talking about a big deal here...

I was referring to the other players in the supplemental draft, that would not get to play this year.

There may not have been anybody drafted anyway. Did you not read his post? 34 years of that draft and only 40 players TOTAL were selected.

From what I have read, the NFL does not want to encourage/reward players for leaving school early.
My prediction, and I don't support or condone this, he'll sue the NFL to allow him into the supplemental draft -- based on the letter from OSU saying he's not even allowed at the school, let alone eligible to play.

I would not be surprised by this. I wonder of the NFLPA would support him suing the NFL eventhough he not a member yet?

Why is Pryor trying for the supplemental draft a big deal? I thought the rules in the NFL sated that you had to be out of high school for 3 years before being eligible for the draft. Being that he actually played three years, (even though they aren't counting last year) there should be no issues with him entering the draft. The only problem I could see is that he could have been late in applying.

MLB 2011 Season

Are you ready for some football? ESPN says...no
