Pryor earns MVP

I don't think I believe this theory ...

How good it the Oregon basketball team ?
If he wants to play football and basketball on top notch teams, Oregon is not where I would choose for basketball, now if it's football then I think Oregon is the place he should seriously consider seeing they run the spread exclusivly as well.

I'll say it ONE last time - Pryor, himself has said that basketball is out of the picture after he finishes his HS season.

I know Paul, I was just replying to a previous post that thought otherwise.

I'm beginning to think that Mr Prior is holding 4 teams hostage ....
Look at the potential players the other 3 teams are missing out on as Prior continues to ponder, only one of these teams will get the person they want.
I hope the others have good backup plans for thier QB.

Pryor has eliminated Oregon and UM. It's down to the Buckeyes and PSU.

Insider's Recruiting Report

This is good news for the Buckeyes and Penn State fans, provided either team wants him anymore after his appearent attitude issues... I get the feeling he thinks he's above everyone else...
Maybe that will change after he gets hit a few times.

I really don't want a spoiled brat running the Offense for several years.

I don't understand why he wouldn't sign with Michigan right now - and start for 3 years right out of the gate on his way to the NFL.

It's real disappointing to see he passed UM. Now I have to hope Paterno pulls off some magic :)

No offense Jimbo.

None taken !

I actually felt all along that M had the inside track because of Rodriguez, something must have happened to change his mind, it looks like coach was really planning on having him.
I also thought that Oregon had a better chance seeing they run that offense so well out there.
I think it's coming down to what his Parents want, which is fine, but I think over all OSU would be a better fit than PSU with a better chance of moving on.

I don't see him being a QB in the NFL anyways, probably move to rec., I know it's way to early to say that, but, the pro's don't do much with his type of QB unless he's a damn good passer as well, time will tell.

All though I said in post #53, that I thought that maybe Michigan was out of the running, I sure wouldn't take a WISCONSIN writer's (with an axe to grind) as gospel. My speculation on this matter centered from his press conference, where the speculation was that he (Pryor) was set to announce that Ohio St. was going to be his choice, but pressure from his dad, was causing him to reconsider Penn St. That being said, I still think Michigan is out of the loop, but not because some writer from Wisconsin said so. Read some of the comments to this guy's article. This guy is a hack.

Don't cry for Michigan, another 5 star recruit, Russell Sheppard, from Texas, has Michigan high on his list if Pryor doesn't sign here. The only problem is that he is still a year away. Check the story at Freep.com

If Pryor doesn't go to Penn State, what will there QB situation look like? Is he any good?

Are you talking about , is the QB at PSU any good or Pryor ?
PSU had Maronni but I think he may have graduated this past year, so they would be looking for a QB.
Don't know about any they currently have...
PSU was not even on his list until reciently .... His Dad appears to be making the choice for him ... What a shocker it would be for JoPa to land him.

I'm sorry, but you got it correct - I was asking if PSU's current QB was any good.

Isn't Joe Pa getting ready for retirement soon? How much longer can he last? Seems to me that Pryor and his old man would be a little concerned about that, don't you think?

:haha:haha:haha:haha:haha

Retirement ???
He retired years ago .... he's just got a sideline location to watch the games.

How much longer ? Don't know, just hope it doesn't turn out like "The Bear" dieing right after he left the game.

I think Joe Pa's recruting has been taking a hit for him for the last 10 years or so.

I just heard from the local sports guy when asked by one of the station people if he had any update on the Prior status and he had checked a few hours earlier, No change and he was still planning his trip to Oregon and M was still in the running as well.

So either he hasn't heard the news , or the news the other day was wishful thinking.
btw, IF he had eliminated Oregon and M, with all the pub, don't you think it would have been all over the news, at the very least ESPN ?

I tend to think that everyone is still in it.

Good news for you Paul :D

IMO Pryor will be going to PSU, his dad wants him to go there. He will be stupid if he goes to PSU, since Kerry Collins PSU hasn't had a good QB. They don't treat QBs real good there.
