Hey guys, the SatelliteGuys Holiday Channel is starting to come along, when we start the SatelliteGuys Holiday Channel on Thanksgiving day we will move over to a new version of our DJ Broadcast software (SAM) this new software will give our broadcasts a even more professional sound!

The Holiday Channel will feature all your favorite Christmas favorites, plus I will be bringing back some of your favorite Old Time Radio Christmas Classics as well! Plus on certain nights we will be bradcasting LIVE playing your requests with yours truely as your DJ for the night!

I do have a question though, as you know we currently have USA Radio Network Newscasts at the top of every hour. These newscasts have commercials in them (inserted by the USA Radio Network). My question is when the Holiday Channel comes online should we keep the newscasts or drop the newscasts?

Why don't we create our own newscast? or have a program to discuss the satellite business?

We could do that.

The USA Radio Network News is a hourly newscast with the latest news headlines.

But there is no reason we can't do a weekly show.

Anyway, I vote to ditch the newscasts during holiday music. When the cold light of January returns, we should revisit the question of what kind of newscast we want to have at the top of the hour. That's my two cents.

Ok looks like you have voted to get rid of the newscasts, so that appears to be the winner.

I have been working very hard on this years Holiday Channel, and have re ripped almost all the songs from the CD's to give us a more uniform sound. Ripping is a pain because you need to make sure you don't rip songs you already have (We don't need to hear Bing Crosby singing White Christmas 45 times in a row thank you!)

Things are coming along well.

I only ask because my Office Loves the fact taht I stream the Satelliteguys Radio channel all the time and they say they cant wait for holiday music.
