Picture in picture?

Ok, I did some searching and couldn't find a definite answer to my ? Does the HD Tivo allow you to use PIP since it has a dual tuner? If not live tv, what about watching a recorded show and live tv in PIP? Will the new generation receivers allow this? Thanks for all the help everyone in this site offers each and every day!

the HD Tivo does not do Picture in picture.

While there are dual tuners, the output on all the connections is the same.

PIP doesn't require two outputs necessarily. If you want to use your TVs native PIP then yes, but E* dual tuner (single output) receivers have PIP that's provided by the receiver.

I haven't seen anything to suggest the new R15 will have PIP capabilities built in but I really don't care as I have it now and use it maybe once every 3-6 months.
