patial signal loss and recovery

over the last few days, we have been experiencing the screen "Partial signal loss" which effectively stops us from viewing live shows. The screen stays up and will not go away on its own.

If we push the guide button, then the signal & picture comes back immediately every time.

this is on good weather days - full sun, no clouds. does not matter if we are recording or not.

I have a 722k with external HD and the OTA adapter.

any ideas ?

It's the OTA adapter that's the culprit. Be sure to have the OTA tuner tuned to a known good strong signal channel even when not using it, as it will cause the message to appear even when viewing SAT channels.

It can also be the couplers and/or wallplates. I had this annoying issue for several months and even disconnected the OTA module and reset and still had it happen. A tech finally came out and immediately noticed the coupler that joined the two pieces of coax for our living room where this was happening. He said the coupler was only rated for 2GHz and should have been for 3GHz. After replacing it so far a month later we have yet to have the same issue.
