I always enjoy the olympics, but I never watch the opening or closing ceremonies
good competition this year, especially in the track and field events. Always seems like the
USA gives away a medal in the relays, just like this year. Just don't understand the
addition of break dancing.......wow
Good to see that winning a medal for the USA still means something to some of these athletes.

Agreed. Had a great mix of results. Locals got some upstart appearances, Marchaud had an incredible games. The US had theirs with Ledecky, Lyles, among others. The Aussies continue to be very good in the pool. St. Lucia got a gold in the 100 m on the track. China inexplicably won a swimming relay but almost nothing else in the pool. American pulled off an awesome finish in the women's cycling time trial for gold. Biles wasn't perfect and only won three golds. Brazil had an awesome women's gymnastics. And most of the triathletes didn't succumb to foot and mouth disease, and are now inoculated against 74 different pathogens.

I'm not sure we made the right choice saving France from the Germans.

We saved the World from Hitler rather than the Germans. France was just a happy coincidence.
