OTA HD Programming via Dish

I am able to get local HD programing on my 942, but I do not always get the full screen aspect ratio, i.e. FOX "American Idol", ABC "Dancing with the Stars" are both broadcast with sidebars. Also the HD CBS "Survivor" that is broadcast via Dish (not OTA), also has sidebars.

Is that the case in all areas or just here in upstate NY?

Use the format "*" button on remote and make sure your screen mode is "normal". I know AI is full screen.

well, it is as long as his local FOX is broadcasting in hd. DWTC is never hd nor is survivor.
