Antenna Setup---> Motor Setting--->Limit setup---> Go To Reference
Thanks. Go to Zero would have been more helpful maybe on the next firmware update. Do you know how to enter PID's? I thought the S10 you could do it but I haven't the clue how to do it.
not too familliar with the s10 menus but with most receivers there is an option that says "go to reference" that means go to "0" position
What PIDs are ypou wanting to add? Some sat files have PIDs in them.
You will need the channel editor program because there is no way to add PIDs in the S10 receiver.
None at the moment but I read something before I purchased this receiver that you could manual input PID's. : / Guess it was wrong. : /
I have not seen any writing that says the S10 has manual PID entry. The Manhattan has a manual PID feature. Maybe you were reading about it?
perhaps.
So far this receiver is garbage. Don't anyone else make the mistake of buying it. It loses the USALS Lat and Long if you power off the unit. Very slow. Annoying moving satellite display stays on way too long after picture is there. Instructions are useless. Figure it out better not looking at the instructions.
I will agree you as it has it's issues, the manual is a waste of time, myself I never turn my any of my boxes off and for the price I can live with them, because they all seem to have some problem whether it be software or hardware.so you have to decide on how much money you want to spend for problems.
Welcome to the hobby! The S9 has been a whole new hobby of its own! Sorry to hear about USALS, I haven't used it. Hang in there...The FW's are rolling out regularly now.
You can hit exit to make the moving dish go away. I think once you get used to it, you'll like it or at least hate it less (after the USALS is fixed).
You have to use the editor for the S9 and either a USB stick or you have to buy or make yourself a cable, myself I use the cable method.
Go to the files section here at SG and get the S9 editor. Run it and load the hds2 dump.abs file and select user database. You'll figure out the program from there I think. Then save the file and load it to the S9 with USB.
Double clicking a channel in the editor brings up its properties and you can edit PIDs there.
Of course you have to dump the image file from the box to USB.
You can dump misc files. Dump the tp prog.dbs.
Rename it to .abs and edit it as above.
Rename it to .dbs and load it via USB.
USB is easier than cable.
Using the newer editor, you don't even have to do any file renaming.
