This is pretty big news.
Digital Playground -- the adult studio that initially preferred Blu-Ray -- bitched about replication capacity, costs, etc. went exclusively HD DVD then went neutral -- then announced a slow pull away from HD DVD -- then dumped HD DVD now says they have the capacity for one (single layer -- no dual layer porn BD's yet) new title per week.
Ironically: Wicked still has yet to announce a Blu-Ray title. They were the first US studio to put out a title on HDM. (DP was #2 with Island Fever 3.) Wicked and Private are the only two former adult exclusive HD DVD studios yet to publish titles on Blu. (Pink Visual, Zero Tolerance and others have all announced Blu-Ray titles costing $10-20 more than the HD DVD that launched 3 months before with the same encodes! )

Digital Playground: One Blu-ray Title a Week
The adult film studio embraces the high-def format.

Washington, D.C. (June 12, 2008) -- Digital Playground, the adult film studio, says it will start releasing all titles on Blu-ray the same day they are available on standard-def DVD.
That's according to an article by Home Media Magazine.
The studio also said it would begin converting one previously released title to Blu-ray per week. The action will dramatically increase the number of adult titles available on Blu-ray in the coming weeks.
Digital Playground, which has now released 21 films on Blu-ray, says it's the first adult studio to give the 'same day' treatment to the high-def disc.
“DP has become the first adult studio to make all their Blu-ray releases day and date with standard DVD,” Digital Playground CEO Samantha Lewis told Home Media. “This is something no mainstream studio has done yet, so it's quite noteworthy for the future of the Blu-ray format."
The studio's library includes such films as Pirates and Cheerleaders.
