First
I have been an early adopter of Dish Receivers for many years, the worst, IMO, being the 912. I feel the Hopper series, has been a great success. There have been a few issues here and there , but Dish always seems to be pushing the technology and trying to bring us some new and exiting receivers. There are somethings with the H3 that need to be worked on, but I'm really tired of the amount negativity here. This is a support forum that we joined to notify each other of the problems and good things about Dish. I'd really like to get back to having a positive experience here.
It's great to bring up problems and make suggestions. A lot of us on this forum have benefited from DIRTs presence here. If I were a DIRT Team member, I'd probably start getting a little tired of the abuse by some of the members here. Let's try to be a little helpful. When we find a problem, bring it up, I'm sure that DISH appreciates the information that they get. There are a lot of really smart, experienced people here that make a lot of great suggestions. If you're frustrated, let us know, let DISH know, but don't be nasty and hateful. Be constructive, help solve the problem.
Maybe I'm one of the few, but DISH has always treated me fair and with respect. How many companies can you call today for an installation of any type of equipment and have someone at your house tomorrow installing it free of charge. Some of the agents you speak to on the phone, don't have every answer and don't get it right every time, but most of us here have been with DISH for a long time and are probably more technically aware then most sales or support staff. When was the last time you went to Best Buy and actually found someone that could answer a really technical question? Didn't mean to offend anyone working a Best Buy.
Let's just get back to helping each other and being a little more positive. If you're hater of DISH, go somewhere else. I don't want to come to these forums and read post after post of people ragging all the time. I come here for help and to help others when I can.
There, I'm done. Now all you haters out there can blast me.
