OK , I must admit I had problems just like you at the beginning.
Important (for me at least), was having correct setup on my STB menu, like live Frequency, I'm not familiar with the Traxis model you have, hopefully you can toggle thru some frequecies to something in use, you can use Lyngsat for reference, because if you don't have a live transponder set you can actually pass up your satellite without hearing or seeing response on your sat meter.
If I'm wrong, please chime in. Here some live Freq, Polarity, Symbol Rate for you.

Frequency: 11.929
Polarity: V Vertical
Symbol Rate: SR 22000
