I have my Roku set to pasthrough audio to my AVR. Other shows on P+ have DD 5.1, but the KC @ BUF game shows only stereo. I switched it over to my local OTA feed on KCTV and it works perfectly. I was hoping to compare both side-by-side, but today P+ fails compared to OTA.

They get cranky sometimes after a software upgrade
Only the really older models ( usually 5+ years)

And what electronics do not?

Computers, Tablets, Cell Phones, etc all have the same issue.

Even Cable/Satellite TV equipment , look at how much slower the DirecTV boxes are compared to Dish’s Hopper 3, then compare that Hopper 3 to the a lot faster and does much more, 2024 Roku Ultra.

Good for you, I have read many posts at other sites that would disagree with you.

But you have complained about the Roku so many times in your posting here, to the point it feels like trolling, electronics get old, nothing new.

The issue with ROKU devices is after 5 years or so ..they don't get software updates and such

They work good for 5 years or so but atleast with a Roku they send you a coupon to get a good deal on a new one

The ROKU just has a limited lifespan..meaning eventually they stop support..I have had 6 or 7 of them..Its a nice box but gets outdated ...My original firetv..1080p..just chugs along..keeps getting updates but I had to hunt on ebay for a replacement remote..

Roku only last 2 or 3 years...until they get a software upgrade they can't handle or a power supply fails..or aps are no longer supported..or they just stop supporting a certain model..i have the original firetv and it keeps chugging along..while have 4 or 5 rokus during same time period

Roku is nice but they don't last as long as a firetv...just the way it is..other people will chime in with the technical differences

But not all apps are on Roku...plus other streamers are better

I bet the ROKU is too old also..they do crap like that...or they sent you a software upgrade...ROKU and MLB extra innings have a very flakey relationship..I recommend a firetv or firestick..much better built device

Here, 12 Pages of Juan complaining about the Roku-
