San Diego and LA previously would have no signal from E6 while Nimiq 5 beam provides nice coverage.
Could you give us a signal strength reading? It would help calibrate the footprints.

I'd expect the strengths to fall back once they go 8PSK. The Dish meter more measures quality than strength.
So D* uses the even tps & E* uses the odd ones. What is D* offering there? Thought they had all their stuff 99 thru 119 for a "small arc" of sats.
