Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or if many people care but the NHL Network will be available to everyone subscribing to the Top 200 or higher.

That is good to hear, if it includes the HD feed (thinking it does) I may want to drop down to 200, I am going to do a comparison on if I really need 250 pack

Looks like I may have to stay with 250...Biography and National Geographic are two channels I watch and they are in 250 and not in 200

Versus is also only in the 250 programming package, so with the playoffs coming up in a couple months you're probably going to want to stick with that package.

Yea, I just noticed that too (NHLN-HD).

I guess Charlie's answer to the question: "will we see new HD?" is: "NHLN-HD is new (to you)"!

Make sure you have the Platinum package I get it free. I had to call up a CSR to get it but I got without any trouble.
If you have the NHL Center Ice package you get NHLN-HD on channel 625.
If you have added the Platinum package theNHLN-HD is on channel 403.

Nope, I've got Classic Gold with Gold HD and it was just turned on for me.

Of course, given the way Dish names its packages, it might be that Gold = Platinum, but it isn't presented that way under my account on the DN site.

Espaeth,

If Versus was moved to Top 200 or lower I'd jump at the 200 as I now have AEP, but with all the new fees I'll be dropping my programing package to top 250 at least

Dish changed the HD package price now you get both regular HD + what used to be called Platinum for $10.00 and Platinum is no longer listed on the Dish site.
NHLN NBA TV and the other Platinum HD is now in the $10.00 price.

the only way to see any ref to Platinum on the dish network site is to log out and purge the cookies in your browser, then at the bottom of the HD Channel list website; it says get "Platinum Free, a $10 Value" with a footnote mentioning new subscribers only. They hide all reference to Platinum if you've ever signed onto your (or any) account with the web browser you are using.

Attached are screen caps with the platinum listed (while logged out on my work computer - having never logged into my account from this web browser), then the same page after logging into my account

Well, all I know is that I used to pay $10 extra/month for Platinum (so I'd get MGM, etc.) then some time ago I cut that out and my bill went down by $10/month. I've done nothing to my account since. Although Dish subsequently removed Platinum and some posters indicated that one could then get the Platinum stuff for free I didn't, and that included NHLN & NHLN-HD which went Red for me when I made the change. They just came back about a week ago and the rest of the old Platinum stuff is still Red.

Well if you had read the huge thread about it here at the time, you'd know that Dish, of course, was NOT doing the right thing and giving everybody Platinum for free, they were happily continuing to charge existing customers for it while giving the channels for free to new customers. They were even refusing to change it for most of the people who called to complain, although lately I've seen a few reports that they do now. The solution was to avoid the humanoids, and use the online account management system to delete your HD subscription, BUT, instead of hitting the Submit Changes button, hitting the Review Changes button, and when your new account status came up again, you would be offered the new HD+Platinum option for the new price. Then you could select that, hit the Submit button, and have all the channels at the new price, without any downgrade fee or screwing up anything else in your account.

I would give Dish a call that is what I did and I got it as my above post pointed out.
But if at first you don't succeed than try try again. Yopu will get in the end.

To avoid frustration, I'd actually avoid calling.

As was pointed out above, just go in through Dish online, remove HD from your account, click review, click back, and then the HD & Platinum will be there to add on for the same $10 price.

I just did this with a coworker the other day. It takes 30 seconds, and you don't have to argue with a CSR to get it done.

Thanks for the tip Jim S. and espaeth for getting the Platinum HD channels!

Done and done!
