NHL 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Red Wings are out-manned in this series but a hot goalie, experienced veterans, and our youngsters maturing during the season/playoffs will hopefully give us a good opportunity. We shall see. Go Wings!

I agree with everything you said ...

Btw, when's the last time the phrase "Hot Goalie" and Red Wings were used in the same paragraph ?

Perhaps back in the days of Terry Sawchuk? Detroit's goalie never gets much credit - just the blame.

Don't forget tonight's festivities (Blackhawks fans included) although I may have to take a nap before the game because I'm so tired this afternoon.

Blackhawks :dev vs. Red Wings  tonight @ 8:00 PM.

Wow ....

End of 2 1-1 tie

Wings must be thrilled ... they were thoroughly OUTPLAYED in thew 2nd period.

It looked like the Blackhawks had at least a 15 minute power play.

To Detroit's credit, it's still tied.

Every time I looked our defense was turning the puck over in our zone...especially Smith. We have to play better in the 3rd period.

Thursday's schedule

Rangers at Bruins- 7:30pm ET (NBCSN)- Game 1
Sharks at Kings- 10:00pm ET (NBCSN)- Kings lead series 1-0

The Bruins has better score some goals early because I don't think the Rangers are going to be giving up 2 and 3 goal leads in the 3rd period. I think the NY's goalie is going to be the difference in this series. As for the Sharks...OMG!, these guys are like the NHL's version of the Buffalo Bills. I feel sorry for their fans.

I dont follow the West much but Chicago has one hell of a balanced team.

Chicago has a very talented and deep team...and it doesn't hurt to have a Bowman as their GM. It pains me to admit this factoid, but they have a much better team than the Red Wings, who are trying to fill huge gaps left by their retiring veterans going back to Steve Yzerman. They really need a few quality 1st round draft picks! Unfortunately, the Wings haven't had a top 1st round pick since the mid-90s - a victim of their own success.

I agree, but I think the Sharks may have met their match with their first round opponent. IMO, the Vancouver Canucks are the new Buffalo Bills/Atlanta Braves.
